Media Library - TAF Gold SprayTAF Gold Spray or TAF Spray as it is generally known is an advanced product within the wound treatment products available for Vets. It gets its ‘GOLD’ name from golden yellow turmeric based colour which distinguishes this wound treatment antibiotic from rest in the market. The golden yellow colour of the spray helps differentiate the wounded area and eases the curing process.

The spray is useful for the treatment of superficial wound infections in cattle, goats, horses, pig and sheep. The spray can also be used to treat claw and hoof infections in cattle, goats and sheep. It has a zero day meat withdrawal period for cattle, goats, horses & sheep and fourteen days for pigs. TAF Spray has Thiamphenicol* as major contents (28.5mg/g) and is a very effective antibiotic. It is a 360° Spray which enables the Vets to target the wounded area from any angle.

*Thiamphenicol is a methyl-sulfonyl analogue of chloramphenicol with a similar broad spectrum of activity. It is bacteriostatic for both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and acts by blocking protein synthesis. While there are special precautions to be taken by the person administering the product to animals, this molecule does not trigger the same side effects as chloramphenicol.
