Medical Device Engineer
Medray Imaging Systems is a significant and recognized provider of radiology equipment to the HSE, NHS, Veterinary and Dental sectors as well as providing Pharmaceuticals and Medical consumables. We are currently recruiting a Medical Device Engineer to join our dynamic and expanding team. Established in Dublin since 2001, we are located at Baldonnell, Dublin where we employ a team of 30 staff.
Job Title: Medical Device Engineer
Location: Preferably based Dublin but providing support to hospitals throughout Ireland. Company car provided.
You will be reporting to the Service Manager and have the opportunity to advance your career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Predominately working on X-Ray & Ultrasound equipment this appointee will install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and verify the performance of complex medical imaging equipment including, but not limited to, general radiographic rooms, R/F, portables, mammography, CR, DR, ultrasound, and all supporting equipment. This position is required to be familiar with many classes of clinical equipment. The Engineer ensures regulatory compliance, assists in inventory management, and may serve as an advisor to other personnel on technical matters concerning speciality equipment. The individual demonstrates adherence to the company core values in all professional interactions by showing respect to all people, creating real value, initiating meaningful change, and exhibiting integrity. Your responsibilities will be broken down into 80% Technical Service, 10% Regulatory Compliance and 10% Account Relationship Management.
To be successful in this role you will need a Degree in technical/electronics or equivalent training required, a minimum of 3 years’ experience with medical devices and have an understanding of using electrical instruments for system testing/repairing. Working knowledge of PACS/RIS and web tools is definitely an advantage. You will be self-motivated, customer-oriented and able to work independently. Valid driver’s license required; variable travel requirements depending on the primary site.
