Aluminium interspacing but instead of the usual aluminium outer casing they are moulded into strong and rigid PVC outer covers

• Due to the plastic coating they have 30% greater radiation transmission
• Bucky factor reduced by 25%
• Improved contrast by up to 22%
• Selectivity improved by 21%
• On average our customers are reporting a “real world” achievable 15% exposure saving at 70kV - some even more!!
• They also weigh approximately 17% less than equivalent metal covered grids
• Reinforced edges to protect against damage and scratchfree surfaces
• Our range all have a ratio of 8:1 and represents what we have found to give the best results with all CR systems tested.

Note: These Perpex covers will not normally fit other makes of grid-lids due to cut-outs and sizing. If your grid-lid Perspex has broken we can normally make a replacement if you send us the complete unit. Please contact our customer care team.

Grid-lids allow a stationary grid to be fitted to most types of cassette, allowing grid and cassette to be positioned as one object
The cassette is removed before processing, so patient identification and processing, either through Daylight System or Darkroom is carried out as normal.
