Brassiere

This is 4 ply to provide maximum protection to breast tissue while preventing artefact in the diagnostic portion of the thoracic CT image. The brassiere consists of two large panels, one for each breast, connected and secured by reinforced velcro straps. Each panel is specially designed to form fit the curvatures of the supine body regardless of the patient’s size, providing maximum protection to the medial upper breast, the armpit and other radiosensitive areas. The breast shield allows approximately a 50% dose saving to the breast.
